• Medication Photos or Labels: Processed to identify medications and retrieve relevant information. Not stored permanently.
• Language Preference: Stored locally on your device for a smoother experience.
• Saved Medications: If used, stored locally and never uploaded to any server.

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data only to:

• Identify medication names using AI.
• Retrieve data from the OpenFDA database.
• Translate details using Google Cloud Translation API.
• Enhance accessibility (e.g., large font display).

We never sell or share your data with any third parties.

3. On-Device and Cloud Processing

MedLingual uses a two-layer system:

• Text extraction occurs locally on your device.
• Cloud-based services handle medication recognition and translation securely.

All data sent to the cloud is temporary and not stored after processing.

4. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

5. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and protocols to keep communication between your app and cloud services secure. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
