Our team formed around a shared interest in using technology to solve real-world problems, especially those affecting underserved communities. We recognized that medication misuse caused by language and vision barriers is a widespread but often overlooked issue, so we saw an opportunity to create a practical solution, reduce risks, and promote health equity. Our motivation for creating MedLingual comes from recognizing how easily medication misunderstandings can lead to serious health risks, especially for seniors and non-English speakers.

Alex is the technical lead and primary developer of MedLingual. He is responsible for designing and building the mobile application, implementing the dual-layer AI system, integrating OCR, translation, and FDA data sources, and ensuring performance, privacy, and usability.

Kaelyn leads the business and strategy side of the project. With experience in DECA, Kaelyn is responsible for shaping MedLingual's go-to-market strategy, pricing structure, competitive positioning, and partnership opportunities.
